Reduced visibility — LVP do not apply here

Low visibility procedures are not applicable at OMRK. Operating minima are limited to ILS CAT I, so Reduced Aerodrome Visibility Procedures apply instead. Operators who assume LVP will be wrong about what the field can do.

RAVP are in force when IRVR is below 1,500 m but at or above 550 m, or met visibility is below 2,000 m but at or above 800 m, or the ceiling is at or above 200 ft.

  • ILS CAT I arrivals and all departures: IRVR 550 m or more, met visibility 800 m.
  • VOR and GNSS arrivals: IRVR 1,500 m or more.
  • All movement on the manoeuvring area ceases when IRVR falls below 550 m or the ceiling below 200 ft.
Below 1,500 m RWY 34 becomes the primary runway. There is no ground surveillance on the field — no A-SMGCS and no surface movement radar — so arrivals and departures depend on ATC being visual, a reduced landing rate applies, and ground movement is limited to one movement at a time.

Obstacles

  • The RWY 16 approach surface and the RWY 34 take-off climb surface are penetrated by unlit, unmarked trees in several groups — elevations 95 to 146 ft, heights up to 58 ft.
  • Two lit cell-phone masts, elevations 678 ft and 738 ft, in the RWY 34 approach sector.
  • A mast with support wires, elevation 1,050 ft, at 253923.92N 0554520.68E — bearing 285° magnetic, 10.1 NM from the ARP, dual day and night lighting.

All stands are concrete. The General Aviation apron shares the highest-rated pavement on the field with Stand 5.
