Have this ready
- Gross weight and chargeable volume, and the dimensions of the largest single piece.
- The commodity in plain words. “Machinery parts” clears faster than a product code nobody outside your company recognises.
- For dangerous goods: UN number, class or division, packing group and packing instruction.
- For perishables and livestock: the certificate you are shipping against, and the temperature the goods need.
- Your customs broker's name, if one is already appointed.
Before you plan around a departure
Acceptance cut-off times are not published for this station and vary by carrier, commodity and screening requirement. Do not build a delivery promise on an assumed cut-off — ask for it in writing with your enquiry and the cargo desk will give you the real one for that flight.
