Taxis serve both terminals under a single 24-hour call centre that covers the whole emirate, and hire-car desks sit inside the arrivals hall. One number answers for taxis and limousines alike.

Taxis
Who runs the taxis
Taxi operation in the emirate is franchised by the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority, established in 2007. Two fleets carry most of the traffic, with a separate limousine service for corporate and VIP travel.
Al Hamra Taxi
Around 600 vehicles, operating in partnership with Cars Taxi since January 2008. This is the fleet that has carried the airport's passenger traffic.
Al Arabia Taxi
A franchised operator contracted to the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority, with more than 500 further vehicles across the emirate.
Al Hamra Limousine
Silver, gold and platinum categories for corporate travel and VIP arrivals, booked through the same call centre.
Fares
What a ride costs
The airport does not publish a taxi fare table, and the quotes circulating online for the Dubai run differ from one another by more than double. Rather than repeat them, here is what to do.
- Agree the basis of the fare before the car moves — metered or fixed.
- For a quote to a specific destination, call the 24-hour call centre on 8001700.
- For a resort transfer, ask the hotel: most of the Al Marjan and Al Hamra properties run their own airport cars.
- For a long run to Dubai or Abu Dhabi, compare the taxi against a hire car before you commit — the drive is over an hour either way.

Ride hailing
Careem and Uber both operate in the UAE. Whether either may collect at the terminal, and from which bay, is not published by the airport — check in the app on the day, or call the taxi line, and have the taxi rank as a fallback.

Driving in from another airport
Plenty of passengers connect through Dubai or Sharjah and drive the last leg. The distances below are indicative and published for planning only — the variable that matters is traffic on the E311 and E11 corridors, which can add half an hour to the same journey between morning and evening.
