Leadership

The published roster

Four people are formally published as directing Ras Al Khaimah International Airport: three on the board and the chief executive. Rather than pad the page with departmental names we cannot verify, here they are as they stand.

Governance

Who regulates the airport

The airport operates inside a two-tier regulatory structure — one emirate-level authority and one federal authority — and the chairmanship links the airport directly to the first of them.

RAK Department of Civil Aviation

The regulatory authority for all civil air transport activity in the emirate. It approves landing permission, issues activity licences to companies operating on the field, and holds the airport to GCAA and Higher Committee standards. The airport's chairman has chaired the department since 1997.

General Civil Aviation Authority

The federal authority for the control and regulation of civil aviation across the UAE, including en-route air navigation services and every aspect of flight safety. Aircraft certification, operator approvals and personnel licensing sit here.

What this page does not tell you

The airport does not currently publish a wider executive team — no finance, operations, commercial or technical director is named in its own material. Where you need a named contact rather than a department, the commercial office and the operations desk will route you; both are on the contact page. We have deliberately not republished the historic names that survive in the old site's page source: several of them left years ago, and two of the pages disagreed with each other about who held which title.
