One café, open all night

Catering in the terminals is run by ALPHA Catering Services, and the outlet they operate — the Terminal Cafe in the Departure Terminal — is open 24 hours a day. That is the whole published food offer, and pretending otherwise would only annoy you when you got here.

The airport does not state whether the café sits before or after screening. If eating on the right side of security matters to you, ask at the information desk when you arrive.

Timing a meal around the flight

Most departures here are early morning or late evening, which is exactly when you want this to be simple.

Before you check in

Air Arabia opens check-in around three hours before departure and closes it an hour before. If you arrive at the start of that window you have time to sit down; if you arrive at the end of it you do not.

After security

Once you are through passport control and screening you cannot go back landside. Eat on the side you intend to wait on.

Overnight and delayed

The café is open 24 hours, so a night wait or a delay does not leave you without hot food or coffee. The Business Lounge has coffee machines for passengers eligible to use it.

What you can carry through screening

Drinks bought landside will not pass security: liquids, gels and aerosols must be in containers of 100 ml or less, together in one transparent re-sealable one-litre bag per passenger, out of your hand luggage and into the tray. Baby food, dietary requirements and medicines are exempt, with proof of authenticity on request. Empty your water bottle before the queue and fill it again on the other side.

Catering that is not the café

ALPHA does more here than run the counter in departures.

In-flight catering

ALPHA Flight Services holds the in-flight catering operation at Ras Al Khaimah. Airlines and charter operators arrange loading through them directly.

VIP and business aviation catering

Catering for business jets is ordered through the handling agent, not the café. The airport's own ground handling desk arranges it with the rest of the turnaround.

Crew requirements

Crew meals, laundry, newspapers and special requirements are part of what the airport's ground handling desk covers for visiting aircraft.

Not published yet

We only publish what the airport has actually confirmed. The items below are genuinely not documented anywhere, and we would rather say so than guess.

Ask at the information desk, or call the switchboard on +971 7 207 5200.
  • Whether any outlet operates in the Arrival Terminal, and its hours.
  • Menus, prices, and whether the café takes cards or cash only.
  • Halal certification detail, allergen information and vegetarian or vegan options.
  • Adjusted opening or screened seating during Ramadan.
