Times in UTC. The runway is closed every Tuesday 0500–0800 UTC.

Leave blank for a technical stop of unknown length.

Services on the ground

Jet A-1 only. The fuel supplied contains no anti-ice inhibitor.

Hangar space is limited and always subject to availability on the day.

Alpha Flight Services operates on the field. Give dietary and timing requirements in the notes.

Clearance and documentation

Customs, Immigration and Special Branch Police are on site continuously.

Landing permission is issued by RAK Department of Civil Aviation through the airport Duty Officer.

Special handling, medical requirements, VVIP arrangements, security escort, live animals, anything unusual.

The sequence is short and it is the same every time.

Acknowledgement with a reference

The desk confirms receipt and gives you a reference number. Quote it on every later message about this movement.

Quotation and confirmation of services

Handling, fuel, parking and any extras are priced against the current tariff. Nothing is charged until you accept.

Landing permit, if you do not hold one

The Duty Officer forwards the permission request to RAK Department of Civil Aviation and issues you a landing permit number once it is approved.

Movement day

Your nominated handler meets the aircraft. Customs, Immigration and Special Branch Police are on the field continuously — RKT is a full port of entry.

Who can handle the aircraft

You may nominate either licensed handler on the field. If you have no preference the desk will allocate one.

Two things worth knowing before you plan

The runway closes every Tuesday morning

RWY 16/34 is closed for planned maintenance every Tuesday 0500–0800 UTC, and a friction test runs on the third Tuesday of the month 0500–0730 UTC. Build it into the schedule rather than discovering it in a NOTAM.

The Jet A-1 carries no anti-ice inhibitor

Fuel supplied at RKT contains no FSII. If your aircraft requires an additive, carry it and plan the uplift accordingly.
